Destiny’s Transformation
After escaping an abusive relationship, Destiny found safety at our shelter in Muncie and continued her healing through services in Richmond. With support from A Better Way, she not only broke free from abuse but also overcame addiction. Today, Destiny is stronger, more resilient, and building a brighter future for herself and her children.
Susan’s Transformation
After experiencing abuse from childhood into adulthood, Susan lived with fear for most of her life. Through the support and safety she found at A Better Way, she has finally been able to sleep through the night without fear. Today, Susan is reclaiming her life and embracing the peace she’s always deserved.
Kolina’s Transformation
A survivor through and through, Kolina escaped a frightening situation and found the strength to rebuild through the support of A Better Way’s staff and groups. With each step, she rediscovered her inner power and now looks forward to truly living life again.

When Randi first came to A Better Way, she felt guarded and unsure. Through the support of our groups, she learned how to embrace receiving help and discovered so much about herself along the way. Today, she continues to grow, building resilience and becoming the strong, supportive mother her children need—and deserve—to see.

After moving through transitional housing, she is now starting fresh with her children by her side through our rapid rehousing program. She’s working tirelessly, balancing school and life, all to create the safe, loving home her children deserve. With the support of A Better Way, Brittany has finally found a place she can truly call her own.
