Administrative Assistant

The part-time Administrative Assistant will work alongside the Finance Director and Executive Director to prepare financial statements, wage and tax reporting, ensuring accurate accounting records and fulfilling various administrative functions as needed.

Sexual Assault Victim Advocate – Rural Services

The full-time Sexual Assault Victim Advocate – Rural Services will assist victims of sexual assault within the rural counties we serve, as well as those residing in shelter. The position is the first responder for sexual assault advocacy in Blackford, Henry, Jay and Randolph Counties as well as responding to calls in Delaware County.

A bachelor’s degree in a human service or related field is preferred. Valid driver’s license required. The benefits package includes insurance, retirement and generous paid holidays, sick and vacation days. Position is non-exempt from overtime regulations.

Intervention Specialist

The part-time Intervention Specialist assist clients with preparing meals and getting children ready for school; assist through emotional support, information, education, advocacy, casework and support services. Encourage and assist in positive parental involvement with their children (educational, physical and emotional).

An associate’s degree in a human service or related field is preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Education and Outreach Specialist

The full-time Education and Outreach Specialist will identify and develop outreach activities, educate on victims’ rights, increase awareness of available services, and perform general duties in service to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience in public speaking, training, event planning and supervision preferred. Valid driver’s license required. The position is eligible for benefits.

Caseworker

The part-time position of Caseworker will assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as their children, with needs they may have while residing in our emergency shelter at our Muncie location.

High school or equivalent preferred and driver’s license required.

Suicide Prevention Specialist

Suicide Preventions Specialist will answer calls, chat or texts from those who reach out to the 24/7 crisis line.  Support and referrals will be made for incoming suicide and other crisis calls/chats. PT hours available are evenings and weekends.

OPEN POSITIONS | Richmond, IN

Site Coordinator

The full-time position of Site Coordinator of A Better Way, Richmond is responsible for supervision of staff working out of the Richmond facility and assisting the Executive Director in managing daily tasks and programs. Also responsible for direct crisis intervention and support services to victim of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their children.

The position is non-exempt from overtime regulations. The benefits package includes insurance, retirement and generous paid holidays, sick and vacation days. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and driver’s license required.

Volunteer Coordinator

The part-time position of Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, evaluating and recognizing community and student volunteers who work directly and indirectly with those we serve at our Richmond location. An associate’s degree is preferred and driver’s license required.

Children’s Case Manager

The full-time position of Children’s Case Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development and provision of children’s services to families who are clients of A Better Way, Richmond. Responsibilities include providing case management and advocacy services to residential and non-residential children.
